  • Australian standard relating to chainsaws;
  • Sharpening & tuning;
  • Kick Back;
  • Employer’s obligations & employee’s obligations;
  • Professionalism;
  • Safety;
  • Cross cutting
  • Maintenance of the saw & essential servicing;
  • Personal Protective Equipment;
  •  Cutting attachments;
  • Theory of felling
Day 2 Practical
  • Safety;
  • Basic operational principles;
  • Tree assessment & preparation;
  • Environmental impact;
  • Heading & limbing
